Dr. Angelos Kyriacou MBChB FRCP(UK) MA
Endocrinologist – Diabetologist
Dr Angelos Kyriacou obtained his bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Manchester (UK) in 2005. Thereafter, he worked at the North West of England until 2015. In 2009 he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
He completed the Specialty Exam in Endocrinology & Diabetes in 2012 and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of training in 2014 in General Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus. He was elected fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2019 (FRCP).
He previously worked as a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (UK) from 2014 until 2015. He also completed a Clinical Fellowship in Thyroid diseases in the North West of England. Furthermore, he completed a Master’s degree (MA) in Post-Graduate Medical Education (Edge Hill University, UK, 2018).
Dr Kyriacou retains an Honorary Clinical Consultant Contract with the University Hospital of Salford and is a Scientific collaborator with European University Cyprus and a Research Fellow at the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health at CUT.
Dr Kyriacou has an active academic interest in various fields of Endocrinology and environmental health, with emphasis on thyroid disorders and obesity. He is a member of the multi-national ‘Children’s first’ consortium, which aims to utilize various biomarkers and precision health metrics for the prediction and management of ill-health in children. He has authored about 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
