Philippos Simillides is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens (NKUA) and then finished his specialty in orthopedics at Wits University Johannesburg RSA in South Africa.

He has been trained in sports injuries in Richmond, Virginia, USA.

Dr. Simillides was an orthopedic doctor for the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) national teams.

Since 1990 Dr Simillides has been a private doctor in Limassol covering the full spectrum of orthopedic surgery specializing in trauma, arthroplasty and sports injuries and is an associate surgeon of the American Medical Centre in Nicosia.
