Dr. Kyriakos Neofytou is a Consultant General, Laparoscopic, and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgeon with a specialization in advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Neofytou completed his medical education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School, graduating with distinction in 2007. He subsequently entered the Cyprus General Surgical Training program, specializing in General Surgery at Nicosia General Hospital. Following this, he pursued a prestigious fellowship in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, a leading tertiary center renowned for its excellence in these fields. During his fellowship, he trained alongside internationally recognized experts, gaining invaluable experience in complex surgical interventions.
Dr. Neofytou’s strong academic background includes two postgraduate degrees: a PhD in Medicine with Distinction from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology with Distinction (MSc) from the University of Cyprus. His commitment to research is evidenced by numerous publications in high-impact international scientific journals, and he has shared his findings at several national and international conferences.
In 2015, Dr. Neofytou was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon specializing in General, Laparoscopic, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary, and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery at the American Medical Center in Nicosia. Since then, he has provided exemplary care, performing both laparoscopic and open surgeries for patients with diagnoses such as liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, and colorectal cancer. He also addresses a range of general surgical conditions, including abdominal hernias, gallbladder stones, hiatal hernias, diverticulosis, bowel obstructions, and proctological issues.
